Your vows and the tone of the event should feel authentic and comfortable—never forced—so every moment is meaningful.As your Sunshine Coast Civil Marriage Celebrant, I’m well-versed in a wide range of wedding styles, from Hinterland escapes and vintage celebrations to rustic, modern beach, garden parties, or nautical themes. This is your day, and every detail should be just as you imagine it.Here’s what I offer as part of my celebrant services:Creative ideas to ensure your ceremony is heartfelt and engaging for your guests.Provision of a signing table and chairs for the wedding register.Use of a quality PA system for clear, professional audio.A comprehensive information pack with sample ceremonies and vows to inspire your personal touches.Suggestions for incorporating special traditions, rituals, readings, or personalized vows.Unlimited support by email or phone to answer your questions along the way.Arrival at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Presentation of your wedding certificate on the day.Handling all official paperwork, including lodgement with Births, Deaths and Marriages. Marriage Requirements:

  • The marriage law stipulates the following requirements:
  • Both parties must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Both individuals must be legally free to marry.
  • For those born in Australia, presentation of the original birth certificate or passport, and drivers licence is required.
  • Applicants born overseas must provide either their original birth certificate or an overseas passport for verification.
  • Notice of intended marriage must be submitted no less than one month and no more than eighteen months prior to the ceremony.
  • If either party has previously been married, the original divorce decree or death certificate of the former spouse must be provided.
  • Two witnesses, each over the age of eighteen, are required to sign the Marriage Register and Certificate.
  • Those intending to change their name should apply to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in Brisbane for a full certificate. The application form, along with supporting documentation, will be lodged on your behalf following the ceremony, eliminating the need to send identification directly to Births, Deaths and Marriages.
